umbrella folded waiting
steps got lighter sun broke through
the rush of you came on

shoulds and musts and almost hads
stepped back as love came rising
nap cots stored I bent the knee
your kingdom stormed my walls

and you will seed the day
carve through word's stale way
shine the path you lay
as you find (it)

lions soldiers planes and caped
crusaders all came calling
supped and drank and rallied 'fore night's
armistice took hold

stars and moon gave wings as you
dropped into rems lilt gently
path darkened till dawns hand
lit the yellow hat again
