shimmer

felt it again today,
by the fence with that long tuft of grass
and a hound's nose poking out underneath just enough to give it away:

simple homing beacon
here in the heart;
a signal that all is not lost in the world.

all was revealed in a moment of glory.
it's all just god's roux, see,
reducing over every square meter
you, or i, or everyone will ever walk

and as you stumble over that fourth to last word
maybe you'll just tumble with me over the prose
into the Muse's hollow
and from here it's even more fractured and whole and holy than the homing beacon

because that's looking AT home
and this is BEING home
and from here, Lord the view from here!

bluetooth and wifi and currents carrying words
all plain as vapour trails between the houses
and over the sidewalks and down to the banks
and over to the gym and through the schools ~

And now, to walk amongst the edifices
of words and numbers and texts and ciphers and images.

There are cities of lines coming from your keyboard,
and yours and yours, and yours,
and phones joining in, in some catastrophically complex fractal
rolling over the face of the earth like a moon sized tumbleweed,
picking up thoughts and insights and complaints and petitions like a snowball

then

BANG!

the left nostril slows down the in and out breath
and the right hemisphere shuts up shop for the next 90 minutes
and I'm left with hints from the left hemisphere
that it's all there waiting to be seen again
if only I would just Be.
