you can *never* get there from here
life as a spiritual cartographer is built on a paradox
"you can't get there from here" is literally true, but can't be taken literally in the wayfinding.
first you discover that past and future are just Now in drag (hint: when do you relive past memories? when does the projection of next week month year take place?)
then you discover that there is a universal spiritual GPS coordinate 4 letters long that accurately signals *exactly* where you are. waking sleeping dreaming state? doesn't matter. gross subtle causal plane? doesn't matter. you are always, in all ways, Here.
back to the metaphor, now seen in a new light. "you can't get there from here" is true, simply because there is no "there" there. And without a 'there', there is no line between 'here' and 'there'. You are literally always Here, Now, no matter where you travel - physically, mentally, spiritually.
and for the beautiful bow on top, a nod to Mr. Alpert and Maharaji: What is left to be done when you realize that you are always Here, Now? Relax into that which has always been present-but-veiled: the perfect, infinite present. Or to put it more succinctly, simply
Be. Here, Now.
Be here now.
