Need’s Needs

just after dawn i spoke to god and supplied the list that needed to be fulfilled for my happiness, peace, and well being for the day

up till noon i repeatedly reminded God of the list, being careful to capitalize his name and repeat the ministrations for added gravity

in the afternoon, disappointment and doubt swept the prayer room clean. i watched god clothe the rest of the day in weather, conflict, people and story perfectly fitted to the peaks and valleys of my need's needs.

i exhaled, and asked to remember the lesson come the next dawn.
